Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi is one of the most famous kings of Iran as he was the last king of Iran. The Pahlavi kings were in power for over 50 years and there is no doubt that Iran had a great change in this era. Coincidence of global technological improvements in this period was an important factor for the country. As regards our topic, a great variety of banknotes were published in Pahlavi era too, especially during the reign of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. This has provided a large number of beautiful banknotes for the collectors who are usually mixed up with the data on each item due to some similarities.
Here, we are trying to exhibit all the banknote of the King Mohammad Reza Pahlavi era, although some of the items are not depicted as there was not any photo of them in our achieve. Our policy is not to mention the price of any collectible in our website, so please do not ask for the pricelists.
The banknotes of this era are divided into 2 large category: Those published by the national Bank of Iran and those released by the Central Bank of Iran. Then each category is subdivided regarding the date of publication and the pattern.
¤ Banknotes of the National Bank Of Iran (Bank Melli Iran):
The foregoing web gallery shows some of the banknotes that are printed by the National bank of Iran during the reign of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi from 1942 to 1962. In this period, 7 series of banknotes were published.
NOTE: As the style of the fourth & fifth series are the same and they only differ in the signatures, they are shown in one page.
