Banknotes of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi era
Second issue of the Central bank - 1 9 6 2 / 1 9 6 5 

      First original issue of the Central Bank of Iran, Published in 1962 and soon became very popular at its time as the portrait of Shah was with his air force uniform and images were more artistic. The above photo if from a banknote that is printed in 1963 and the date of  publication was omitted from the banknotes since this series.

      This issue is reprinted in five series and the date is removed from the fourth series.

This 500 Rls. Banknote is printed in 1962.

      This 1000 Rls. Banknote is printed in 1961. Unlike the pattern of the same issue, the Shah's portrait is located in the middle.

      This issue is reprinted in five series and the date is removed from the fourth series.
