1 Toomaan banknote
From the first series
Top: Obverse. The portrait of Nasser al-din shah is on the right and national emblem of the Lion & sun with the Kiani crown is on the left. Regarding the hand-stamp, the banknote is valuable in Tehran only
Bottom : Reverse of the note with the english scripts.Note that in the early issues of the banknotes, watermark was not used. Unlike major denominations of the same issue, the emblem of the Lion & Sun was not printed on the reverse.

From the first series
Top: Obverse. The portrait of Nasser al-din shah is on the right and national emblem of the Lion & sun with the Kiani crown is on the left. This is a specimen banknote, without any hand-stamp or signature.
Bottom : Reverse of the note with the English scripts. Note that in the early issues of the banknotes, watermark was not used.

Unlike the first issue, the color variety of both sides is not extremely different. Persian script at the top and its English translation at the bottom: Only payable at Mashhad. Signatures: General Director: M.Murry, General officer: V.L.Walter
Bottom: Reverse of the note with English script: Imperial Bank of Persia, 5 Tomans.
