Bronze coin of the Iranian new year of 1366
This commemorative bronze coin is minted by the Islamic Revolutionary guards, during the Iran-Iraq war on the eve of the Iranian new year of 1366/1987.
Obverse: Right, Portrait of an Iranian soldier. upper script: "Ehdaai-e sepaah-e paasdaaraan-e enghelaab-e eslaami be razmandegaan-e eslaam" (Dedicated by the Islamic revolution's guard to the fighters of Islam). bottom script: "Be monaasebat-e aghaz-e saal-e 1366" (To commemorate the beginning of the year 1366/1987).
Reverse: Left, Scene of the Holy shrine of Imam Hussein in Karbala, Iraq. Arabic script: "Assalaamo alaik ya aba abdellah alhosein" (Peace on you Hussein, the father of Abdullah).
Commemorative silver coin of the year of Imam Ali (1379/2000)
This commemorative silver coin is minted on the occasion of the year of Imam Ali in 1379/2000. Some of the coins are originally minted by the central Bank of Iran so the date is minted on them. Those without the date are no minted by the central bank.
Obverse: Right, the word Ali in a calligraphic style.
Reverse: Left, Arabic script: "Laa fataa ella Ali, Laa saif ella Zolfaghar" (There is no hero like ali and no sword like Zolfaghar). Date: 1379/2000

This commemorative gold coin is minted on the occasion of the year of Imam Ali in 1379/2000.
Obverse: Right, The word Ali in a calligraphic style and a graphic mixture of the word.
Reverse: Left, The word Ali in a calligraphic style in the centre. Arabic script at the top: "Ghaal-a nabi: Ana va alion men nouren vaahed" (Ali and I are from a unique light). Persian script at the bottom: "yaadmaan-e saal-e amiralmonenin emaam Ali alaih-e salaam." (Commemorating the year of Imam Ali PBUH, the leader of believers). Solar A.H Date on the right: 1379/2000, Lunar A.H. date on the left: 1421.
